STOCK BIKE - FIRST IMPRESSIONS.

The seat is slightly higher than other Monsters.

The bike cannot be warmed up with the sidestand down. You have to sit on the bike with the sidestand up in order to warm the bike up.

The front fairing wobbles at speed and feels cheap.

The engine is not pretty but is much better than my previous air-cooled M900.

The mirror glass can fall out which can result in a scratched tank. This is quite common and is fixable under warranty.

Standard exhausts are Termigonis but are too quiet.

The standard gearing is not right for the bike. The 37 needs to be replaced by at least a 39 tooth rear. The chain does not need to be changed.

The Michelin Pilots have a quite a sporty profile. They have a tendency to drop in rather than have a consistent lean - not really to my liking so they may have to be changed at some point.
